A Far Fetched Fantasy

A Far Fetched Fantasy is an independent film by a young filmmaker named Joe Clemons and story by Jake Scott. While the video/audio quality has room for improvment the story is very funny one and made me laugh quite often as I watched it. The trailer for it is below.

I don't want to spoil the story but I would like to give a very quick overview so here goes...
Once there was a Very Arrogant Hero, A Smelly Urchin Boy, and a Gnome. And the latter two join our hero as he journeys to we know not where. After picking up the two they run into an Incredibly Old Man and he tells them that he is a wizard. (We roll our eyes with the hero and the story goes on.) Then we meet up with two sisters and they are crying about something the Incredibly Old Man did (you'll have to watch it to find out). And so these people all join the hero on his unknown journey. And so they lived happily ever after, right? Wrong! They must go on a quest after accepting to do so from a talking stump, and fight evil in a strange land and bring back a powerful object (ok, I don't know very much about the object but I assume it is powerful or else why would someone want it?).

All that to say, I approve it for familys and ask that you remember that every filmmaker has to start somewhere. And if their goal is to create family friendly films then we should engourage that.

And about the audio/video quality. I have an 32" HDTV so just about anything that is not Blu ray is going to look less than stunning. And to mass produce a video for Blu ray is pretty expensive. But some things like the color didn't match between two shots in places of the movie. And the audio was very noisey and popped fairly often was about the worst the film had. But hey, they will get better as they continue to gain expertise and knowlegde in this field of work. And so I look forward to seeing more from these guys and gals.

The spoof trailer has been released!
Ironing Man is a project that Speedy Productions worked on with Figment Films as a spoof to the well known Iron Man film. The project was completed with a high number of effects shots and a very low budget in an effort to find and engourage talent on a local basis. Check out the spoof here.
